Welcome to the website of the Ostoros Civil Guard Association (Ostorosért Polgárőr Egyesület).
Our Civil Guard Association has been serving the settlement since 1999, in cooperation with county and national organizations. The unit consists of uniformed volunteers who assist the local police in various tasks such as public surveillance, patrolling, crime prevention, and, in some cases, carrying out citizen’s arrests (only in flagrante delicto, retaining a person until the police take action). We maintain both a visible and discreet presence on the streets and throughout the settlement’s administrative area.
